This morning was cold and windy. Loving it.

Christmas in the Desert

Again, my pictures are an ode to the Christmas season. I just love it all. And it also helps that I am especially proud of the tree I wrapped in the front yard. :)

I pulled out my big awesome coat because it was cold and rainy outside. It wasn't cold or rainy inside, but it's really neat and I can't wait until it's actually cold enough to wear it! Someday.... haha!

Gary still makes me laugh. A lot!

Here It Goes

The Christmas season started yesterday. Dad and I got Christmas lights up. He got the ones on the house while I worked on the tree. It makes me so happy!

Stoned

I was really liking the stone/pot/brick/solid object look today.

Giving Thanks

I am grateful for all that I have. I love the beautiful things I am surrounded by, along with all of the beautiful people I get to associate with. Here are some Thanksgiving shots from my grandmother's front and back yards. A little hilarious that everything is green and full of life here in Arizona. The fall weather still hasn't quite hit. Haha

Can It Be?

It's Christmas time. I can't even believe it (even though it's actually the day before Thanksgiving, we're practically there. Haha). My mom has been working on these nifty poinsettia centerpieces for some Relief Society thing, so I thought I might try to capture some Christmas spirited things to get in the mood!

On a completely unrelated note, I got this awesome shirt at Target the other day. It's neat. And artistic, so I guess it works. Haha!

On another completely random note, here is Gary, my little grass haired Chia-thing. Kendle and I got some and we happened to start ours on the same exact day. Her's is named Larry. They're buds - Larry and Gary! I'll post once he gets some real hair - for now it's just those little white fuzzy things.

Take a Trip

I'm sad I don't know what this plant's name is. It's kinda trippy looking, huh? And the one below is called Aloe ferox. I love it.

Air Movement

Oh Air Conditioner. How we love you in the summer months and forsake you in the winter months.

Inspired

It's kind of interesting when you have to search out neat photographs because you've already captured everything you can think of. I was pleasantly surprised and very excited about these.

Grow

I'm still loving the winter flowers that have been planted in the yard. They'll be really exciting in March. :)

Prayer

This is a nifty little plant called a Prayer Plant. It is a little guy with tons of these fun little leaves on it. It's called a prayer plant because at night, all of these leaves curl in, like hands in prayer. Kinda neat, eh?

On the Job

This is the backside of my workplace (note photo 1 of Sept. 25). This was all I could even think to take as an artist. And it isn't even that neat. Oh well. I'm home. And I saved up to three lives today by donating blood!

Elevation Change

I don't know what it is, but I'm still trying to artfully capture the essence of the many many elevators I use on a very regular basis. This one is in the University Services Annex, or USA for short. It's in the old TEP building, just north of the really tall buildings downtown.

Book Worm

Oh college. How you kill me.

Long Lost Friend

Dear Winter,
I'm glad that you're fast approaching. I like you. Your grass is better. Your flowers are better. If only it were March, when everything was really in bloom. I look forward to this year's liaison.
Love from,
Zac

Confession

Okay, I have a secret. These are pictures I took yesterday. But I'm just really stressed out about a giant essay that's due tomorrow and so I didn't want to take time to search out something artsy. I took a hike up Sabino Canyon yesterday and these are what I got! It was cloudy at first, but it cleared up by the end. It was really nice!

Let Down

It breaks my heart that my life looks like this so very often. Blast this college crap!

In Motion

I know, I know, it's dangerous to operate a camera/phone/camera-phone while driving, but the clouds were looking all types of cool behind me. I was trying to capture them in the mirror. Sadly, the all-types-of-cool clouds are not exactly visible. But the picture did turn out kind of neat.

Love Struck

I almost fell over when I saw this. No photograph could ever do it justice (especially not my crappy phone). It is the neatest little tunnel of trees in one of the really old parts of campus. And I even got to walk under it twice, since I was delivering a package and had to go back the way I came. I wish y'all could see it in person. You can't fully appreciate it otherwise. I love shtuff like this.

Break

I maintain that the morning is optimal photography time. Just like optimal tanning time is between the hours of 11 and 4 during the summer months (so I've heard. Since I don't tan, I wouldn't really know). It makes me sad that I'm at school all day when the sun is actually out. By the time I get home, it's almost dark. We'll see how the winter works for picture taking. But since there was a break from school and work today, look at what I got!

The last picture is the bottom of an awesome hanging pot my dad has, just so that's clear. And the second picture there - the plant is wet because the hanging pot was dripping all of the excess water that had just been poured into it.
