Springing Forward

I love this cactus. It's growing up against my house, and has gotten crazy tall in the last little while. You know that little overhang of the roof? The one that sticks out a foot or so from the wall? Well I feel really bad because the cactus is almost touching it! It won't have any room to grow! But I think it's one of those cacti that you can just chop off and put in the ground and it will grow! Fun, right?

And, I know what you're thinking - why does this kid take so many pictures of venidium? Well, firstly, because they're orange and happy. Secondly, because they're all types of easy to take fun pictures of. Lastly, because it's Spring Break and it epitomizes the excellence of care-free days and awesome weather! :)

And this post title is kind of referencing Daylight Savings Time. Thank heavens Arizona doesn't bother with that stuff. I still don't get it! Haha.

Time Management

I have poor time management skills. It's the truth. As I blog, I should be writing an essay. Instead, I took time to take some quality photographs (I really like these ones for no particular reason...), watch ten minutes of tv, and now blog. Oops. I suppose I'm in for a less than optimal amount of sleep tonight. I'll deal...

This essay, the one I should be writing is about bullfighting and the various viewpoints the people of Spain have on the sport. Some think it's cruel, some think it's a good cultural and international identity, yadda yadda yadda. I think it's boring, and since I've never been to Spain I don't much care. I was so frustrated with my boredom that I wrote a haiku about it. See below.

Break of Dawn

I was up early today. It's been a while since I've seen a sunrise. Haha. But it sure was neat. They always are. And I keep loving the lilies my mom received for her birthday. And two of the amaryllises we've got are blooming. They're so cool.
