Aged

Kendle, this is what a giant Pedilanthus macrocarpus looks like (aka euphorbia, aka "lady slipper"). It's awesomely tall, crazy thick, and looks really great because of the extra moisture we've had lately. You need one in your yard once you guys finish it up. :)

Viewpoints

A fun new perspective can make things in life that were otherwise rather boring far more exciting. I love this euphorbia... I really do. I have just been having a hard time getting inspired in my surroundings. I feel like I've captured all there is to capture in my home, and I'm trying really hard not to be that annoying guy at parties that takes pictures of people. Plus, people would probably be upset that I've taken a photo at a weird angle to add interest. Anyway, looking at it from a different perspective made it a little more exciting.

Jagged Edges

These are more from the awesome fish my dad mounted on the wall (this { one } in case you've forgotten). Someday I'll put up a photo of the whole thing. It's awesome. Also, another photo of the growing euphorbia that I photographed the other day (this { one } in case you've forgotten).

[You-for-bee-uh]

We have this awesome plant in the front yard. It's a member of the euphorbia family, and it has grown like wildfire this spring and I love it! I loved it in January too (see photo 1 of {this post} for an earlier photo). Anyway, these are the shoots of new growth at the very top of the plant, though there is new growth all over. It is definitely taller than me now. It wasn't nearly this tall back in January!

The Process

Today was the first day back at school. I got up before the sun. That. Sucks. But, I had some extra time, which presented me with this chance to see the sunrise. Then, I got home and saw the Pedilanthus macrocarpus (the second Euphorbia I took pictures of yesterday) looking all types of cool with the shadow of itself back there. It is fun to have something from the beginning of the day and the end of the day. The whole process.

Requests

I got a request from a friend [kendle] to snap a few of these fun little guys in my front yard. They are both from the Euphorbia family. The first one is potted and has grown like crazy... we haven't had it for that long and it has definitely doubled in size, at least. The second (Pedilanthus macrocarpus) is of a baby one my dad planted. We have a few giant ones in the back yard, so it'll be fun to see how these grow.
